Topic: Tour of the MWRDGC Stickney Waste Water Treatment Plant & Main Stream Pumping Station (Deep Tunnel)

When: Thursday May 14, 2009

Where: Start/Park at the Main Stream Pumping Station (Deep Tunnel) Site and travel by bus to the Stickney Waste Water Treatment Plant.  Follow links for additional information. LUNCH will be provided.

Time: Tour starts at 8:30 at the Main Street Pumping Station:

Registration Deadline:  April 23, 2009 - This includes receipt of completed MWRDGC forms with a copy of a passport, driver’s license or state ID.  The limit for the tour is 50.

Cost:  $50 for Members, $60 for Nonmembers, $25 Students. Checks made Payable to Chicago Section AIHA. No shows will be billed.  NO SUBSTITUTES!

Schedule:

7:30        Arrive, register

8:30        Start tour, 3 groups of 16

8:30        Group I Video

9:00        Group II Tunnel (5 minutes down, 5 min. up)

9:30        Group III Models

10:00      Load bus, travel to Stickney, and walk to starting point. (2 GROUPS of 25)

11:00      Labs/Greenhouse

12:00      Process area

1pm        Load bus, travel back to Main Stream Pumping Station.
