Please join us for the presentation of two important IH
practice topics, hosted by the Chicago chapter of the
American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and the
Great Lakes Center for Occupational and Environmental
Safety and Health at the University of Illinois at
Chicago. The purpose of the topics is to provide forums
for experts in the fields of international industrial
hygiene and skin toxicology to present and discuss
current and emerging issues, and for participants to
request and exchange more information on these topics.
Topics:
(Morning to 1:45 pm) REACH (Registration, Evaluation,
Authorization and Restriction of Chemical
substances) a European Community Regulation on chemicals
and their safe use, and Risk Analysis
(Afternoon 1:45 pm to 4:30 pm) Selected Topics in Skin
Toxicology

American Planning Association (APA) Chicago Office, 205
N. Michigan Ave., Suite 1200, Chicago, IL 60601. APA's
Chicago office is located on the northeast corner of
Michigan Avenue and Lake Street. Several public
transportation lines are close by, and paid parking is
available in nearby public garages.
Time: Registration and Breakfast: 8:00 - 8:30 am,
morning presentations 8:30 am to 12:00 pm, Lunch 12:00 –
1:00 pm, afternoon presentations 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm.
Intended audience: Environmental scientists,
industrial hygienists, toxicologists, physicians, and
public health personnel.
Registration: Includes breakfast and lunch.
Please sign up early so that arrangements for food can
be made and so that a list of attendees can be provided
to building security; it takes time to get the security
passes in order.
