The Chicago Local Section of the American Industrial Hygiene Association would like to invite you to a dinner seminar titled  "Professional Ethics" – It’s a topic for everyone – whether you’re seeking to meet the ABIH Certification Maintenance requirements or simply interested in effectively responding to the “gray areas” of professional practice.  This Ethics presentation will cover not only the areas of “right vs. wrong”, but also “right vs. right” with case studies and ABIH case statistics.  Prepare to be engaged and maybe even entertained.

Speaker: Nancy M. McClellan, MPH, CIH, CHMM

Nancy McClellan has spent the last 19 years practicing industrial hygiene in a wide variety of industries after completing graduate studies at the University of Michigan School of Public Health.  As a self-employed consultant she has provided industrial hygiene services to the automotive, hospital, circuit board, food, pharmaceutical, chemical, military defense, energy, furniture and banking industries. 

Beyond certification with ABIH, Ms. McClellan is a recent past director and committee chair on the ABIH Board of Directors and currently represents ABIH as liaison to the AIHA Joint Industrial Hygiene Ethics Education Committee and the global Occupational Hygiene Training Association (OHTA) of the International Occupational Hygiene Association (IOHA).  She was also recently selected to serve on the OHTA Board of Directors.  At a local level, she served as President and a Director of the Michigan Industrial Hygiene Society for 12 years, on the Alabama AIHA Local Section Board of Directors for 3 years and is currently serving on the Chicago AIHA Board of Directors.

Program duration is designed to completely fulfill the ABIH ethics points requirement for a 5-year cycle. 0.33 CM pts
